Bells On The Porch Poem by Gert Strydom

Bells On The Porch

Sometimes the august winds
abates at September
and the bells hang lifeless on the porch
while the silence echoes deep in you and me

but later when we are apart from each other
it’s to similar days that I do long,
to you with bells
that sometimes hangs ringing on the porch.
