Best Reward

Rating: 3.5

Best Reward

Had I been back in my mother’s womb
Far away from bullets and bomb
It would be better place to abide
Because in earth peace is denied

Tom and Harry came here
Now shaking hands with agony and fear
Happiness is but an occasional guest
Because men are far away from God’s quest

Faith is not a matter of concern
For man has lost the power to discern
Tears of grief abound everywhere
Our golden dreams are reduced in nightmare

Men pass their life yearning for gold
Men are not God-fearing, they have become bold
Here sensation of pain disturb our tranquility
Wage of sin has reduced our enduring ability.

In heaven, I was safe and secure
The same abode again I long to procure
Oh, had I been an unborn child in heaven
It would have been the best reward I was given.

Thoughtful Poem, and so true. Being able to Discern is a must in this world. Really like what you wrote.
