Betrayal

you pushed me inside darkness
imprisoned my soul
river dried up
now why you opened the door?

Feelings are so strong here Jaya, what if the other has come to regret their action? Is forgiveness possible still? I myself try to avoid artistically embellishing a poem with ideas that cannot be true, imprisoned my soul for instance, can anyone really imprison your soul? What do you think of... thrust into darkness nurtured only by prison scraps even water is unpalatable is it your hand on the door? in this version there is a shadow of hope still don't you think?

The pain of rejection is so deep here. Very nice. Short and to the point. Loved it.
