Betrayed Friendship Poem by Abdulrauf Muhammad Aljasawee

Betrayed Friendship

Certainly truth is a treasure of sweetness
Certainly truth is a treasure of bitterness
Certainly truth has it's own grace

I may not have a mansion of my own
I may not have a fancy car like you do
I may not be famous like you are
I may not have wealth abundance like you do
My life may not be flawless as yours
My family may not be rich and
It may not not be famous like yours
My knowledge may not be supreme
And i may have not been privileged
to obtain a higher degree from
a better college like you did,

But at least my family is well known
for the dignity it beholds
At least I do not fabricate stories like you do
At least I am well known for my modesty
and I am also a trustworthy
At least I do not exercise ignorance in
the name acquaintance and excellence
At least I am loved and cherished by
the people whom you abandon as garbage
And I am not worthless like you think
dear hideous lousy old friend.

But I would like to know......
Did you want to see me broken?
Does my excellence upset you?
Why are you best with gloom? .
