Civilization Begins Poem by Abdulrauf Muhammad Aljasawee

It is really lamentable to bear witness upon
such barbaric acts in our societies
It is indeed assaulting to know such molestational
acts are being executed by our own brothers
But sadly our leaders care not to involve
themselves in civilizing the youth,
So this is a call to all, I say change begins with me

Haqiqanin zance sai dai ace na zauce
Domin batu na ko zai jawo cecekuce
Gaskiya kam dole saina fayyace

Today impudence and immodesty is a
fashion style to some in our societies,
gami da aikata alfasha, sata, zina da
shaye shayen miyagun kayan maye
in ascendance to kashe kashen rayuka
zubda jini ba bisa qa'ida ba

Haba yan uwana matasa
you are better than this,
you are far more better than being those
lousy cockroaches to our politicians,
you are not violators and you are not criminals,
kada ku manta yan uwana matasa
that our future lies upon your shoulders
so how you handle yourselves today
displays the visual of our tomorrow's future

Abdul ne yake kira da babban murya
it is time to rise, it is time to speak,
it is time to show the world that our people
are not foolish and ignorance as we are
being reproached of

Sannan kira gareku iyaye,
wajibi ne ku sani tarbiyar yayanku da basu ilimi
mai nagarta al'amari ne na tilas a kanku ba
ganin damarku ba, domin ubangiji zai tambayeku
game da kiwon daya baku, wannan ku sani

And I also call upon our leaders to fear God Almighty
to fear the day they will stand before him and answer
for their leadership, the day they will be questioned
on how they lead us in this world

A qarshe dai, koda batutuwa na sunyi tsauri
kuma koda na tausasa laffuza na manufar
dai qwaya daya ce, A samu tsaftatuwa,
gyaruwa, da kuma kyautatuwar al'umma

So I pray that this piece of poetry will reach
where it needs to be reached,
I pray that the message I wish to convey
in this poetry is quiet clear to the world
and I just wish, I really wish
that I can change the world.
