Better Lucky Than Good Poem by gershon hepner

Those people who’d rather be lucky than good
are right, for it’s really unfortunate
that, down on your luck, there’s an unlikelihood
for prayer to succeed, though importunate.


Today is Superbowl Sunday. The St. Louis Rams, formerly of LA are favored against the New England Patriots because they are the better team. However, a commentator has pointed out that the Patriots are the luckier team and that it is probably better to be lucky than good.
