Between Ninth And Woodhaven Poem by D.N. Rebb

Between Ninth And Woodhaven

Rating: 5.0

At twenty one, ventured on
Found a place between Ninth and Woodhaven
What a strange place to come upon
Yet it felt like a new heaven
It wasn't pretty to look at
It wasn't large, nor new
It always felt good to get back
To something new to live up to
And so, home it became
Six years of reminders behind those walls
A safe haven frame
Meeting fellow tenants out in the hall
A period of new discoveries
Evolving into a responsible adult
A time that created future memories
Each day seemed to have a different result

The duration of the location
Between Ninth and Woodhaven
Stimulating raving memory sensations

It was a place where there were many friends
It was a place of a few lovers
A place for future amends
A place of new discoveries
Many parties did not end till after the sun came back up
A few situations of neighborly complaints
Though the youth always seem to find their luck
Don't dampen the mood in the name to entertain
The place really hasn't changed that much
Been thirty years since those lights went out
The place on Cait had a certain touch
A comfortable spot to hang out
Perhaps replaced by others over the years
Maybe celebrated through many new beers
Enjoying their duration of the location
Between Ninth and Woodhaven
Stimulating new raving memory sensations
