Bhagavati...

Bhagavati
Since my childhood
I have been cherishing,
Nurturing the dream of
Making,
Chiselling, sculpting out of clay
An idol,
An idol of Bhagavati,
But have not been able to do it
While on the other
The time too had come
As for going
And now putting aside
The long-cherished, the long-nurtured dream
Kept alive in my bosom
Want I just to have
A glimpse of her
Before I go away.
