Big Baby Poem by Aanuoluwa Adebanjo

Big Baby

I have watched him sleep before
Curdled up in bed like a baby in the womb
I watched in admiration the cuteness in the peaceful way he slept
And how handsome he looked asleep
I have watched him sleep before
Snuggled his head on my chest nimbly
And I watched carefully not to let his head slip
As he slept soundly enjoying the warmth of my bosom
I couldn't care anyway
He was my baby after all
My big baby
