Bigotry Poem by Andrea Bailey

Bigotry

Shame on us we must know human condition
This world has a blanket
of human stain
one of which is my bane

We all bleed red
no matter our shade
we need our staid

Anatomical reference
as to our preference
carry a grudge
who made us judge

No matter our breed
or our creed
we must cede
we all bleed red

some are smaller
some are taller
some are thin
some obese

who gave us an
ignorant release

lacking the backing
I wish a port for
bigotry any sort
for one human
to be the other.

To know pain
goes in vain
be cognizant
of who you are

use your wit realize
we were created
to fit

we all bleed red.
look into cosmos
take some memos
then spread
we all bleed red
