Like a bird shot to the ground, just as she learns to fly,
Pulled from the warm winds, on the weight of all the lies
Her saviour's silence deafens her,
shadows embrace her all around
She listens in the darkness,
Broken winged and never found.

I am not sure if Bridgid will receive this message or not, but it's worth a try. (I'm unable to send you a private message and I have asked admin for help but there wasn't mush they could do. I've also searched the internet far and wide.: -)) I have almost finished the second draft of a novel that has this poem in it. Respectfully, I am seeking your permission to use it. (I am happy to send you the context it is written in as well.) Please respond to me via Poem Hunter if that's ok. Best wishes. I love your writing. Craig
