Birds Of The Air Poem by Mark Heathcote

Birds Of The Air

She had a laugh to tantalise.
The migrating birds of the air
'Such a captivating melody,
Were I or she the only ones there?

Sweet and short-tempered winter.
How I wish we could have stayed.
Many more seasons together
How I miss her fragrant pomade.
