Bitter Gourd Mustard Curry - Poem by Kumarmani Mahakul
Bitter gourd is cut longitudinally,
Shapes of varieties in attractive mood,
Fried in little oil in pan for minutes,
With spices gravy item is prepared.
Little mustard paste is added in boiling,
Ginger paste is also added in curry,
This is prepared without onion garlic,
Purity of dish is given priority in surety.
Bitter gourd with mustard tastes bitter,
Little more bitterness we like for body,
For more health benefits bitter is good,
From bitterness too we learn many things.
For skin health, dandruff and shiny hair,
Purifying blood, preventing heart and kidney,
Getting relief from constipation, diabetes
Acne and respiratory disorders can be cured.
Bitter gourd keeps good nutritional values,
Including vitamins and minerals for body,
God's gift to nature is wonder is our food,
We find unlimited taste in bitter gourd curry.
