Bittersweet Heart Poem by kathleen hintz

Bittersweet Heart

Rating: 4.8

Looking into your eyes
I've found genuineness and modesty
something I've never saw before
for the words you speak
so luscious and sweet
the lips i once kissed
so soft and tender
why do everyday i lie to myself
when everyone knows i care
this lust i have for is not going away
and these feelings are here to stay
when you make me smile
Its like the sun coming out of a rainy day
why didnt you just stay
I if could only explain how much you mean to me
oh if only you could see
your the star i once wished upon
the moonlight above leading my way out of the darken night
as I wake up from this desirous dream
all the words once spoken become silent
lips i kissed before become forsaken to feel
but all of those days i lied to myself when now its to late
everyone else saw how i felt
this lust i have is still not going away
and these feelings of love for you is as bright as day
the smiles i once had turned to tears of bitterness
hopefully they will fade away...
Even if I fight this there is always going to be a place in
my broken heart where you lay
if you never feel the same again
memories will stay within
