Black Is Not A Color Poem by Hebert Logerie

Black Is Not A Color

Black, what is that?
It's not a color
But He gives birth
To all other colors on earth
Black, what is that?
Close your eyes, and tell me
What do you see?
You see the black sky
You see the universal reflections
Which decorate the beautiful sky
You see a dark, deep blue, thanks to the depth
Of the empty space. You see the white color
Of the light that strikes the prism
Of a phenomenon. Racism
Is the philosophy of the ignorant
Black color is not inferior
On the contrary, it is superior
He gives birth to others
We must ignore the false apostles
Who lie like lost beggars
The precious jet is black
The handsome raven is black
The indispensable charcoal is black
The stars spin and twinkle in the evening
In the black firmament
Without black, there would be no colors
The rainbow, would not exist
Black, what is that?
Black is an enigma, a mystery
Other colors will become dusty
In the future. This question of color
Makes no sense. Black is the color
Of the intelligentsia, the eternal color
The color which will remain, the universal color
The color which does not burn
What's that? The black will remain
After the infernal fires
And the evident losses of lives
The black charcoal will disinfect the air
And warm up the whole universe.
