Blankets Poem by Daniel Cook

Blankets

Rating: 4.5

he is your security blanket
become unthread
yet you hold its remnant
you cover up from the cold
and fail to see your frostbitten toes
i've come to replace his inadequacy
the white snow you play in has already melted away
i come, as reliable as the soil of this earth
renew relive revive.
prevail with my preferred predestined preface of peace.
and allow your inadequacies to be my burden
i will weave you a kashmir blanket
one to keep you warm on the coldest nights
just allow me to.

this poem sounds pleading. i like it. nice use of alliteration in line 10.
