Blasted Strategic Paths Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Blasted Strategic Paths

Blasted strategic paths.
Endorsed to support,
Conflict, confusion and division.
And cheered on by those,
Disconnected from a consciousness to have.
Only proves the ones who follow blindly,
Behind others who insist...
Enlightenment to have,
Is as useless as depending upon common sense.
Yet stay to remain they do,
Finding the paths they have been convinced...
Has for them benefits.
Regardless of the repeated dead ends.
Discovered to ignore all warnings to have heard,
Over and over again.
Hoping each time will achieve for them,
A different result and something new.

"These paths we have taken,
Have been blasted!
Why do you think that was done? "

-Maybe...
And this is just a suggestion.
Maybe someone is trying to send us a message.-

"Like what? "

-You got me.
Perhaps we should ask our fearless leader? -

"No.
Then we will be accused,
Of being nonconformists and unpatriotic."

-But...
What sense would that make? -

"I don't want to offend anyone.
However...
We are in no position,
To say who amongst us are the fools."
