Blessed Boon Poem by shakil ahmed

Blessed Boon

Rating: 4.8

Blessed Boon

The surrounding clamors of
Happy and blessed lovers
Pinched like a sharp thorn
In my soft bosom
I grew jealous of them
Out of sheer rage
And repented of my sad plight
Shedding drops of tears

Suddenly,
Someone entered into my parlor,
Breaking the ominous silence,
Where lay ambushed
Story of forgotten passions,
Where prevailed an eternal emptiness
And engulfed loneliness.
Someone came like shower of summer
Washing my heart and soul
That were neglected for ages
Like the rotten eggs.

For the first time I observed
The rose is beautiful
Along with its colored butterfly
I planted flowers in my garden
With hard toil.
Flowers bloomed and spread its fragrance
And I wore the mask of a poet
To compose my love poem.

She gave me the starry sky
And I learnt to walk thousand miles
Through the passage of galaxies.
I learnt to disappear
In the rocky-caves of shining moon,
She gave me everything
That was called blessed boon.
