Blind Eyes Poem by David Harris

Blind Eyes

Rating: 5.0

We stare out around us
and sometimes never see
all the wonders that surround us.
Our eyes look at only
whatever catches our first glance.
We miss all the other things
that go on around us there.
We look with blind eyes
missing all that we should see.
The world and all its splendour,
which is ours to enjoy.
So the next time you sit
on a park bench somewhere.
Look beyond what you first see,
at all the wonders of creation there.
