I’m remembering so clearly in my quiet reflection,
How a glimpse from afar brought a feeling so strong,
Couldn’t make out a face but I felt that connection,
I could tell you wouldn’t be a stranger for long
Then it happened under the canopy of the night
Two guarded hearts found a home at last
I tried; we tried with all our might
To make the feelings we had just pass
What fate brought together none could tear apart
We knew it was real right from the start
My angel this feeling - dare I call it love
Entangle it in a word I’ve never yet felt
Within I know these cards were rightly delt
