Blood Sweat And Tears Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Blood Sweat And Tears

Rating: 5.0

.........Winston Churchill.........

Without him, would we have won the war
In the year nineteen forty-five?
Nobel Prize Winner and Orator
Sir Winston kept all hope alive.
Victory Day on the eighth of May
Outshone his wildest dream
Now just a wartime memory
.......held in high esteem........
Churchill's name is widely known
He was such a prominent statesman.
Unbeatable in his acts of war
Reassuring to women and children.
Chartwell calmed his post-war mind
He became a Sir with passing time.
In nineteen fifty-three he resigned
Living long on England's green shore
Living long for ninety years and more.

.........Winston Churchill.........
