Blue Heart Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Blue Heart

Oh my precious Blue Heart
Lost along the way
Life has taken all your joy
And left you in the rain

Never will thee know thy answer
Or understand her reason why
Deceiving with an empty smile
To hide those tears you cry

Unspoken little Blue Heart
Beating unforgiving
Take pity for her hurtful way
Love is for the living

Call her not in dreams of sorrow
For she is nevermore
Flee from her who lives in darkness
Close that open door

Blue Heart I seek for thee to rise
Find spirit to love again
Turn not away unfamiliar eyes
Let a new love in

Only you my heart so blue
Can arise from loveless sin
Die not Blue Heart for her cruel pleasure
I beg thee
Love Again
