Blue Winter Sky Poem by Peter S. Quinn

Blue Winter Sky

The blue winter sky, so deep beyond,
A crystal canvas stretched in silent grace.
The whispers of the wind in forests fond
Caress the cheeks of those who seek its face.

The barren trees reach out with skeletal hands,
Their fingers tracing paths of ancient tales.
Across the frozen lakes and silent lands,
A solitude enfolds the hills and vales.

The chill embraces all, yet hearts ignite,
Enraptured by the distant azure hue.
For in the depths of cold and sapphire light,
We glimpse the endless paths we long to pursue.

Beneath this dome of dreams both old and new,
The blue winter sky reflects our longing too.
