Blunt Assertion Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Friends occasionally cut the jokes
Tease and offer solid strokes
Many may know secrets too
But we never allow it to let

“Do you ever lie”? One of the friends asked
“I do and believe” I replied
: ”Do you always cheat” he was eager to know
“I meet them and greet “he was about to blow

“What else you do as human being”?
He was trying to tame in circus ring
“I want to be rich and king”
I gave straight answer to sing

He was rattled and disbelieving
Some of query was still not relieving
He wanted still more from me
I said go on “I am free”

Why should I not do all worldly things?
When in life I lack everything
Nothing comes in easy way
The poverty is pushing me away

Yes, yes, I do agree for some points
He was not convinced fully yet
“Do you sincerely plan to continue? He starred with eyes wide
“Yes, so long people can be made fool and fail to view” I confided

I am human and may err
There may be judgmental error
“What is good to me”?
I did not try to flee

I shall respond to the situation
Show where I stand for human relation
I am what I suppose to be in this world
No one should preach me exactly and be told
