Bolted To Showboat Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Bolted To Showboat

Time and hands on a clock.
To stop.
With wishes to prevent,
What has begun to start.
Only can be done in amusement parks.
For those with minds,
Switched off and left parked in the dark.

Today to live in the 'now' as is...
With serious issues gone ignored.
Unsolved to be dismissed.
As if this reality does not exist.
Only proves...
Common sense is seldom used.
And...
More obvious these days lived,
To witness this becomes...
Who is conscious of unconscious nonsense.
Chosen to stubbornly choose.

These days to live as they are right now.
Only proves...
Who unconscious lives to have their nonsense.
Unscrewed, unenlightened and loose.
Yet...
Bolted to showboat.
And...
Bolted to egos stroked.
They are...
Bolted to showboat.
Unscrewed, unenlightened and loose.
Yet...
Bolted to showboat.
And...
Bolted to egos stroked.
They are...
Bolted to showboat.
Ignoring these times and today's issues.

Times and the hands on a clock.
To stop with wishes in their minds...
Not to face what they had started.
Only proves...
Whose unconscious of their nonsense.
Yet...
Bolted to showboat.
And...
Bolted to egos stroked.
Ignoring these times and today's issues.
And hoping many others,
Do the same thing too!
