I was down on earth
Almost fearing a death
As the bang sound was heard
People thought I was dead
It was simple crash
As I made rash move
Left ankle got twisted
Face and both hands blasted ground
People from near by places rushed
“The uneven floor has crushed many” they commented
It has taken heavy toll
The sympathizers were slow with call
I looked at them with thanks
They were sympathetic and frank
I was still on ground
The blood was spilling and found
The hands were swollen
The cheek had bruises even
I was spared from agony
I was down with pain and felt so sorry
The bone’s pain is severe
It is felt more in winter
It reminds me of unbearable curses
Extra precaution must be taken of course

A realistic picture. Like a short story. Very nice UK Atiyodi, Kandangali, Payyanur, Kannur 670307 Feb 21,2014
The poem has a remarkable quality of laughing the pain out besides being a strong metaphore in my opinion. Words are all placed ten-on-ten to emote concern and humour. An amazing write! Warm regards, Supratik Sen, Hyderabad Feb 20,2014
Be careful. The pain has been expressed with an expression. meenas17, Malaysia Feb 20,2014
