Both Of Us Have Improved Upon Our Listening Skills Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Both Of Us Have Improved Upon Our Listening Skills

I told you not to disturb me.
Not once.
Not twice,
But several times.
You chose not to listen.
You wanted to push me against the wall.
I could not resist.
You insisted to have it your way.
And as you wished...
I let you have it!
Fangs and all.
It was you who broke my valuables...
Trying to escape.
And now you must pay the consequences.

I will untie you from the tree...
When I am done with my arrow practice!
What does it matter if I am the one blindfolded?
You will know when I am done,
When there is complete silence.
And that is up to you!
I have a few arrows left.
And your screaming,
Only sharpens my aim!

I hope we can come to some agreement soon!
Now...
That last sound you made,
Is convincing.
That goes to prove,
Both of us have improved upon our listening skills.
