Both Young And Old Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Both Young And Old

There are those both young and old.
Who seem today could care less.
If lies they tell to anyone.
Are from them heard told.
With effective embellishment.

And this process to accept,
Regardless if respect for truth...
Is left to go undetected.
And suspected to become,
An epidemic sure to infest.
Many soon disbelieve,
They too have been infected.
And accept the doing okay.
To lie leaving no trace of it,
On their faces.
As if to compete in a race.
Before it's announced to take place.
