Brain Fog Poem by Kimberly Burnham

Brain Fog

Many types of fog pervade
when southerly winds
bring warm, moist air
over snow covered fields

Warmth flows over freezing
moisture condenses
with light winds
ground fog thickens
reducing visibility to zero

What warm air blows
over my cooling brain
what is needed
to relight the fire
melt the snow
and lift the fog

Something new
moving
shaking the snow from its back
