Brain Power: Part 1 Poem by Paula Glynn

Brain Power: Part 1

You've got a brain, so use it,
Count up to high speed,
Open that can and see what you see,
For you can be smarter, faster,
Than you ever could imagine,
And reason superiorly,
And not make spelling mistakes,
As you fill people in and show the way,
For you don't need to get drunk,
You just need your brain,
And even if you cry when you suffer pain,
You can still go against the grain.

Make your part of the world a better place,
You just have to trust yourself:
Know what you're doing,
And how you're doing it,
And you know you've made the right choice,
By trusting your instincts and you rejoice,
For you are making your world a better place,
Even when there is ice and snow in winter,
Or a heat wave in summer,
You've got it unlocked,
And you know your brain power is at optimum speed,
And getting wasted on alcohol,
Is something you don't need.

So type that essay at break neck speed,
Forget about wasting your time and getting wasted,
You have goals, ambitions, so forget what others say,
You need full brain power to make the right decisions,
You need to think fast and on your feet,
You don't need to concern yourself with other's needs,
And whatever you have, don't let others steal.

You hold your heart in your hand,
And you only need to be you,
whatever another may think,
So go faster than light or an airplane,
And keep your sanity, don't go insane,
For this is your life, your choice, your happiness,
And you have full brain power.
