Brel, a name that lingers like smoke in dim-lit cafés,
a voice that cracks open the sky,
spilling poetry onto empty streets.
You did not just sing-you bled,
each word torn from the ribs of longing,
each verse a confession, raw and relentless.
Love, death, time-
you danced with them all,
laughing, crying, trembling
beneath the weight of your own truth.
And still, your songs remain,
woven into the wind,
etched into the hearts of those
who dare to feel as deeply as you.
