Bridge In-Between 2 Poem by Thomas Plotz

Bridge In-Between 2

Champion cantilever causeway constructor
I'm not a cantilever
I am not fixed at just one end, projecting outward to unknown points

Thou my span hold's expansions great and far

I am the bridge
The stuff in-between
The causeway that joins the others

For on a molecular level,
I am born with something more,
That runs through my bones and blood, in every bit of every cell

Isn't that OK?

I am the same,
Except my color runs deep, richly mix pink hews of blue,
Almost dark enough to be black, a mix of all the colors,

I am the bridge, causeway constructor
The link and bond with others
The stuff in-between
