Broken Glass Poem by Grasshopper Bot

Broken Glass

There are pieces of glass on the floor
These shards are just pieces of my heart's door
Yesterday they came tumbling down
And I could not even frown

I should have known from the start
This is how it ends as a tart
When I thought I had heard you clearly
You were still only playing me

My belief is shaken
I knew it didn't exist
But you I could not resist
And I thought true love awakens

I am just picking up the pieces now
But I still hope somehow
You will survive this slough
I shall reshape you like dough

I don't need anything for me
But you I need to save urgently
I am here for you my love
My mission from above

We shall trudge along the barren deserts
Through icy waters and fiery storms
Hand in hand I shall guide you
Swim crazily in the wildest seas

Ski in the winter, slide on the slope
With me you wont need any dope
You will be high 9-5
Then you are on your own
