Broken Within Poem by Katy Tuten

Broken Within

I mourn to see your smile again

To hear your laughter I cry for a new morrow

As silver tears bleed from the weathered sky began

to fall as blistering winds carry my sorrow

Cold fire burns within filling my body with grief

It sends shivers throughout my body as I reminence old memories

They fill my mind with utter sorrow and disbelief

I watch in my mind as I am surrounded by the perfume of lilies

I breathe in deeply as my mind fogs over

The moon casts shadows apon my life

For now I can't remember the last time I was sober

I don't know how to relieve myself of this pain and strife

Broken within I shall stay forever,

Mourning for you forever and ever.
