Bucket Tales: Bucket's Pocket Poem by H E Alexander

Bucket Tales: Bucket's Pocket

Rating: 5.0

Davy Bucket lost a pocket
from off his best suit trews,
he searched there, and everywhere,
but could not find any clues.

He went to town with a deep-set frown
to look for a pocket store,
he couldn't find one, tried to buy a bun,
but his cash was there no more!

'Where's my wallet.' cried Davy Bucket,
'I put it in my pocket, here!
'Oh bugger! ' he said, and slapped his head,
'I put it in the pocket-not-there! '

So off he sloped (or was it moped?)
back to his Bubble car,
but remembered he, where he put his key,
so he didn't get very far!

Then, to get home, he reached for his phone-
a cab for himself he'd call-
but what a prawn, his mobile's gone,
coz his pocket had gone AWOL!

So like a mouse, he crawled to his house;
there, with his pocket, his dutch.
Without further ado, he stuck it back with glue,
then promptly lost his crutch!
