Burden Of Being Me Poem by Deluke Muwanigwa

Burden Of Being Me

Rating: 5.0

Burden of being me

My mother tried and cried
To mould me into a good child
I thank my mum for the effort

My father, tempted, attempted
To understand why I was wild
Bordered on abuse his effontery

Society double struggled
To make my manners mild
by law and order enforcement

God knows I fight day and night
Apply my mind to be good and kind
I arrive at the same rhetorical retrospective what fors

This is me
Whatever you think and believe, the being you see is me
The burden of being me
