Burning Bright Candle Casts Shadows Poem by Terence George Craddock

Burning Bright Candle Casts Shadows

the candle burns slowly sensibly
a warm glow in sensible passage of time
but in hectic rush I burn both ends
make up time no time to waste flame guts
too fast wax will melt body wane spent
plan time practice time or be emergencies rent
plan rainy day better possibility outcomes
if we burn candles foolishly at both ends?

will our light resources duration last the night
but burning bright candle casts a warm bright light
double effort double glow makes a beautiful sight
but candle rapid burn must soon gutted swoon spent
my eyes will not last either this pace filled night
my wrecked tired soar sore eyes almost burnt out
yet miracle of miracles will recharge over night
