Butterfly { 10 Short Poems} Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

Butterfly { 10 Short Poems}

Rating: 5.0

Gaudy and fickle wanderer;
Alighting, floating, drifting and mingling
With flowers for hours together,

Deceiving our eyes;
For they are flying flowers, radiant
In blue, orange, gold and yellow,

Carrying beauties on
Elegant wings with wavering flight
Casting magical spell on our mind,

Drifting, gliding and flitting;
From tree to tree, when sunshine
Gilding flowers garden and valley,

Vagrant beauty fluttering by;
Mesmerizing all to a gorgeous fly
To catch warm sunshine,

God’s satellite with a slender
Body, orbiting meadows, trees, flowers
Disseminating beauties for hours,

A flutter-by, rainbow on her wings,
Love at first sight, let me see you, hold you
And hug you for a while,

Shared a magic tender
Moment with her, tears welled up
In our eyes as real love never dies,

And as the days go by I see
Your love shining only in sunny days
Making our fleeting love eternal,

Oh, butterfly, propeller of dreams,
Fuel dreams and dreams only, so that
I could fly with your wings to a distant sky.......
