Call Me Whatever His Last Name Is Poem by G J Salgado

Call Me Whatever His Last Name Is

I grew up living ghost stories instead of fairy tales
I was purposely designed to fail
My imperfections are perfect
I know that I'm worth it
I'm a living doll
I rise every time that I fall
But something went wrong
When I was born I was already gone
All of my dreams are never going to work
I've fallen so many times it doesn't even hurt
It did hurt at first
When you lifted the curse
Peeling back the skin
As human blood reentered in

Friends won't keep me
All the spirits they love me
Running down the halls
Shadows all over the walls
The monsters call me mommy as soon as I walk in the room
While they're listening to Supersexy Swingin Sounds and tunes
With Rob Zombie and Sheri Moon
Bleeding between thoughts that's a sin
Let me take you back to where I once begin
I always keep the door open but that doesn't mean I'll let you in
My brain is on the buzz
I'd do anything for love
Then I'll chase it with a gun
What's his favorite drug
Clean up the rug
Red wine or is it blood
I just can't get enough
He goes right through me
I don't think he'll ever know me
I don't know what his name is
You can call me whatever his last name is
Just a taste of gasoline
Before you drive this machine
Stick shifted you
Stuck and I've already drifted you
Jacked all the gears
It's been a few years
Since you've been behind the wheel
Pretty face painted above the steel
He's got my heart it's been racing
Broken hearts he's been chasing
I still don't even know his name
He only comes to me when it rains
