does anybody hear her
when she cries?

can anybody see
past her smile?

can't anyone tell
that she bleeds?

can't you see
what she needs?

she needs someone
to shout her name

she needs someone
to take her pain˙

she needs a place
to call her own

she's tired of feeling
so alone

she needs someone
to hold her tight

she needs someone
to show her the light

but most of all she wants you to see
that she isn't she
