Can’t Live With Them Poem by David Harris

Sometimes we fall in love
with someone we can’t live with
only to find that
we can’t live without them neither.

They captivate our whole
stealing away in the night
with our very soul
leaving us in a bewildered state.

We try to find a replacement love
but this other love will not go away.
They drive us mad to live with them
and frustrates us so without them there.

It is a dilemma that a lot of us go through,
finding a love you can’t live with,
and equally maddening,
’cause you can’t live without them.
