Can You Hold On? Poem by Patti Masterman

Can You Hold On?

Rating: 3.5

Can you hold on tight to your belief
When the doctor can't meet your eyes?
When others leave for early prayers,
Do you wonder if it's a lie?

Does pure faith keep your spine upright
And never leave you falling?
Do you faint for truth and peace,
While others only crawling?

It's alright to say that you don't know
The purpose of why we're here,
Or to try to find real medicine
Instead of swallowing fear.

Superb words, a wonderful sense of spiritual searching more by desire than in certitude. I love it.
