Casualty Of Solitude - Poem by John Thorkild Ellison

How can I possibly explain
Or tell you what I really think
About the torture and the pain
That's brought me to the brink
Where I think I'm going insane?
I'm not unique.
I'm just another lonely freak
Who doesn't want to go on like this
And spend another empty, loveless night,
Alone and comfortless
Without a shred of happiness
And nobody to hold him tight!
