Cat And Crow Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Cat And Crow

Cat and crow

Crazy are the geese on the roof
They blow into horn; are noisy.

Trumpets seem to say:
Watch the birds.

Robins make a basket
Round are and well-woven.
Later lay blue eggs.

Unlike them, swallows
Mud-maker, as potters.

But the worst, sparrows, are lazy
The nests are a mess of everything.

While crows are sharp-eyed
Trickster is the cat; both smart.
The hunters are hidden in the fog.

The geese eggs, or the chicks
Most, gone will …

On its back, wings dried
Legs in air, is dead moth.

Sparrow’s chick fallen; on ground
Head is bald, beak is large, huge mouth
Lies helpless and spits final sounds:

What can mean length of life?
(For the birds, cats and moths)

Concealed and camouflaged for ambush
Blackbird must know and have answer
It hunts chick; steals soap, favors egg.

Recipe is great and diet, lives longest.
Long livers are mostly best experts.
