Catching Fish Poem by Dorsey Baker

Catching Fish

We are out here
fishing on the pond
snakes swim
across the water
birds use the bathroom
as they fly
across the sky
because of the wind
the water
starts to move
at a greater
rate of speed
catching fish
because they
eat the bait
and get themselves caught
our fishing poles are sturdy
and our lines are strong
fish in the pond
big and small
I think
we might
just catch them all!
