**catching The Zephyr!

CATCHING THE ZEPHYR!

A sudden gust of wind on a hot summer’s
day,
Got my hair flying, as it blew my way!
I tried to catch it, but it got away!
But in the evening the wind had returned,
It was both cool and refreshing and was
real fun!
Perhaps the zephyr had come from the sea, -
Since it smelt of surf and salt of the sea!
And before I could catch it, - it broke free!
And with the approach of winter, the wind
came from the north, -
Gushing down over those mighty mountain
tops!
It cut me across like a naked blade,
As I took cover - waiting for it to abate!
Next the wind blew through the metro city
streets,
To get loaded with smoke and pollution
complete!
It soon got nauseated and blew as a mighty
gust, -
Its mouth and eyes were all full of dust!
But during Spring the wind came from the
south, -
Kissed the valleys and the dales to make
them swoon;
And caressed the flowers blooming through
the monsoon!
The zephyr blew past laughing and teasing
me, -
Whispering, ‘catch me if you can’ and then
broke free!
Perhaps it had gone back to its home over
the sea!
But one day I shall catch up with the wind
and blow, -
With the falling leaves of Autumn from
the trees, -
To bury them all in the winter’s snow!
And I shall join up in its merry dance, -
In this life which is only a passing show!
Try and catch me then - as I blow! !
