Cause Of Losing Self Poem by Abdul Wahab

In my heart
I used to feel weak
And sense uneasiness
But could not find out what’s the cause
What make me restless?

I used to look up at others’ face
And talk too much to impress
But in reality I ended up
Losing my much needed confidence

I never realized what actually called
Inner power, inner strength
On my work I could not concentrate
And never had I worked with full potentiality

But the day I lost interest
To leave an impression on the mind of others
I started to get that fresh wind which
Blown away my all emptiness

Later I understood
It was nothing but my little weakness
My little desire
To be loved and admired by others.
