Celebrate Freedom Poem by Jean Malicsi

Celebrate Freedom

Rating: 5.0

Unchain the despairing melody
Break free from the cage of misery
Sigh, smile, fly high like a bird in the sky and be happy;

Fight to survive the jungle
Yet, choose the right battle in the struggle
Life is too short to live in misery
Settle for a delightful journey albiet the seeming difficulty;

Celebrate freedom of thoughts, words and deeds
So long as values and principles are never compromised
Live one day at a time, for tomorrow is never promised.

Walking out of an abusive relationship is indeed a bold and courageous step towards freedom, peace of mind, and uplifting sense of wellbeing. A well articulated piece of poetry nicely penned in good rhyme scheme with conviction. Thanks for sharing Jean. Please read my poem THE OBSESSIVE AGONY OF LUST.
