They talk
We listen
We learn
Only ever hearing
What they want us to hear
They tell their truths
Said as facts
Using the voice
Expecting us to believe
The voice echoes
Talks in clichés
Saying the same tired things
Day in, day out
Speaking control in monotonous tones
They tell tales
Giving promise of happy ever afters
Or purgatory to be
They speak of truth and justice
But know only greed
And self preservation
They say to kill is the cure
For that delirious sickness of craven ideology
The voice shouts in unison
One common message
One manipulative ideal
Screaming for compliance
They teach in the classroom
Spin on the political platform
Their voice preaches from the pulpit
They lie
We listen
We never learn

Hi Nik Yes a thought provoking piece indeed. Empty vessels make most noise. Much enjoyed. Steve

Yes, the talking Heads don't care about the real things going on..they must keep you focused! (on young missing white girls and such, so you won't notice their slight of hand..smile)
