Channel Masters Lighthouse Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

Channel Masters Lighthouse

Rating: 5.0

We glow in the undercast,
Our reflections fleeting
In mirrored walls as we dance.
The music is reminiscent of yesterday,
As we recall when time was,
Climbing the 'Stairway To Heaven'
With the O'Jays..
No generation gap here,
The Lighthouse,
Where old friends meet and
New acquaintances greet.
We share a mellow, special time
Of candlelight on red table cloths.
We toast today and tomorrow,
Stiring us to tears as our glasses
Clink a melody...

I must return again!
I was happy there!
Come with me!
Leave your cares behind.
The Lighthouse...
A welcoming beacon
In the city wilderness.
